<p><b>Fusogene Proteine</b> (synonym <i>Zell-Zell-Fusogene</i>) sind <a href="Transmembranprotein" title="Transmembranprotein">transmembrane</a> <a href="Glycoprotein" class="mw-redirect" title="Glycoprotein">Glycoproteine</a>, die eine <a href="Zellfusion" title="Zellfusion">Zellfusion</a> bewirken.<sup id="cite_ref-Shilagardi_2-0" class="reference"><a href="#cite_note-Shilagardi-2"><span class="cite-bracket">[</span>2<span class="cite-bracket">]</span></a></sup> Fusogene Proteine werden gelegentlich auch als <i>Fusionsproteine</i> bezeichnet, was jedoch mit <a href="Fusionsprotein" title="Fusionsprotein">Fusionsproteinen</a> verwechselt werden kann.

</p><p>Fusogene Proteine kommen in manchen <a href="Viren" title="Viren">Viren</a> zum Zelleintritt und zur <a href="Syncytium" title="Syncytium">Syncytienbildung</a> vor.
